With succession planning being part of our values at THREE60 Energy, we have some exciting opportunities for young talent with an interest in technical subjects to join our busy Structural and Electrical & Instrument Design teams based in Aberdeen from secondary school or college.
THREE60 Energy provides engineering services for a wide range of customers and operators across the Offshore, Onshore, and Renewable Energy Industries.
Our Structural and Electrical & Instrument Design Teams work together to deliver a wide range of Brownfield & Greenfield and Front-End Engineering and Design Projects.
Embedded within our experienced design teams, this Modern Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidates to start their career in the Energy Industry. Gaining ‘on-the-job’ practical experience while attending day release college working towards gaining a relevant HNC as well as following a structured industry-specific 4-year learning program to complete a Diploma in Engineering Construction Design in Draughting.
* During your apprenticeship, you will be assigned experienced mentors to support you in your learning and guide you through your 2D and 3D technical project deliverables.
* Further access to a multidiscipline Engineering Team with vast knowledge and skillsets will allow you to gain invaluable experience through your apprenticeship and thereafter.
* Candidates will ideally have a positive attitude, an eye for creative detail, and a passion to develop a career in Engineering Design.
* An awareness of 2D & 3D draughting and modelling would be a distinct advantage as candidates will be expected to develop their skills using our CAD packages.
Competence Requirements
Educational Pre-requisites
School Leaver
* National 5 in English & Mathematics (Grade B or above) is essential.
* National 5 in Physics, Design & Manufacture, Graphic Communication is preferred.
College Leaver
* HNC/HND in Electrical, Instrument or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
STATUS CODES:
Essential requirement that must be met before a candidate is appointed unless approved by the Engineering Manager.
Desirable requirement. Candidate may be appointed, with discretion, without full achievement of criterion but the indicated competence should be developed.
