About the Role: Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion and drive for employee relations? Do you thrive in a collaborative team, providing expert advice on ER matters? We are looking for an HR Advisor to join our dedicated employee relations team within our wider people directorate. What you will be doing: Providing expert guidance to managers on a range of ER issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance concerns Supporting casework from start to finish ensuring compliance with employment law best practices Coaching and advising line managers to enhance their confidence in handling ER matters Contributing to policy development and proactive ER initiatives that foster a positive, supportive and inclusive workplace culture Collaborate with the wider people team to support continuous improvement in our servicesWhat we’re looking for: Strong experience in employee relations, ideally within a social sector environment or similar A solid understanding of UK employment law and best practice Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels Confidence in handling sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving Ability to cope with volume, complexity and tight deadlines in a busy HR environment Strong organisational skills and ability to work flexibly, dealing with a range of issues whilst being able to prioritise A certificate in Personnel Practice or CIPD Level 5 Certificate, or equivalent professional experience For more information regarding this role, please see the attached job description and person specification.
