Teacher of English
Are you looking to develop your career in a thriving, friendly and supportive standalone academy where staff welfare is a priority? Are you passionate about your students and committed to unlocking their potential in an academy that has high expectations of everyone? If so, The Bishop of Winchester Academy wants you!
We are seeking a talented and inspirational English Teacher, dedicated to bringing literature to life and furthering the journey of our students in their lifelong love of reading and communication.
We can offer you the opportunity to deliver an ambitious curriculum where we prioritise literacy and where our dedicated English department achieves exceptional outcomes from all year groups. Whatever your career stage, you will be supported to develop further literary knowledge and to enhance your teaching tool kit, so that our students are able to excel as both writers and linguists. After this, we have dedicated teams who intervene and leave you to continue with the job you love doing!
Our Head of English would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.

· Encourage our students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour
· Engage students in study at GCSE Level (A-Level is desirable)
