We are seeking a passionate and skilled Filmmaking Teacher to lead weekly sessions with students aged 13 - 18. This role involves guiding students in the art of filmmaking, from concept to creation, using professional film equipment and editing tools. You will work collaboratively with an Acting Coach to bring stories to life and ensure a cohesive learning environment for all participants. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging weekly filmmaking sessions for students aged 13-18. Teach the basics of filmmaking, including scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, and editing. Use professional film equipment to guide students in the creation of their films. Edit student films using Adobe Premiere Pro, with the opportunity to complete most of the editing during class time. Collaborate with the Acting Coach to integrate acting and filmmaking components seamlessly. Provide constructive feedback to students, fostering their creative and technical growth. Ensure the safety and proper handling of all equipment during sessions. Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Strong understanding of filmmaking techniques, including cinematography, directing, and editing. Experience working with teenagers, preferably in an educational or creative setting. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A passion for nurturing young talent and inspiring creativity. Contract type: Part-time, self employed.
