Are you a Housing Officer looking to work in Tower Hamlets, East London?
Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Tower Hamlets, East London, is looking to recruit a Housing Officer to manage the temporary accommodation needs of residents, ensuring compliance with housing policies, and providing excellent customer service to those in need of emergency or short-term housing.
You will be working closely with tenants to manage the placement, administration, and support of temporary housing arrangements, working closely with external contractors, local authorities, and support agencies.
This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.
Ideal candidate should must have the ability:
1. To assess and manage the temporary accommodation needs of residents, including placements and rehousing.
2. To ensure all residents in temporary accommodation are fully supported and receive necessary guidance.
3. To liaise with local authorities, contractors, and housing teams to secure suitable accommodation.
4. To conduct property inspections, ensuring accommodation meets required standards and health and safety regulations.
5. To monitor rent payments and follow up on arrears in accordance with housing policy.
6. To provide advice and support to residents on tenancy rights, rent payments, and move-on options.
7. To respond to and resolve tenancy-related issues, including antisocial behaviour, maintenance concerns, and complaints.
8. To maintain accurate records of residents, placements, and housing stock.
9. To manage emergency housing requests and ensure appropriate action is taken in line with policies and procedures.
