Careers Fairs and Events Assistant (Student Placement)
£22,623 per annum
This is a 12 month fixed term student placement opportunity.
Please note that this role is only open to NTU students. Applications from those not a current student at NTU will not be considered.
About the Role
Here at NTU we're proud to offer placement opportunities to our students. We are looking to recruit a Careers Fairs and Events Assistant to work within our Communications, Content and Events team.
What you’ll do:
* Assist in planning and coordinating careers fairs, networking events and workshops to connect students with potential employers
* Work closely with a broad range of organisations, exhibitors and colleagues to ensure a seamless experience prior to and during events
* Contribute to social media campaigns and other marketing strategies to maximise student engagement
* Learn first-hand the end-to-end process involved in planning large-scale events

The NTU Careers Fairs and Events Team play a crucial part in organising and managing career-related events for students, employers and other stakeholders. We establish and maintain relationships with employers, recruiters and industry professionals, collaborate with organisations to secure their participation in careers and networking events, provide information to employers regarding event details, logistics and any other requirements, oversee the smooth execution of careers fairs and events on the day, as well as address and manage any issues that may arise during the event and provide support to students, employers and colleagues.
A successful University Careers Fairs and Events Team plays a pivotal role in facilitating connections between students and potential employers, contributing to the overall success of students' career development.
