A well-known and highly regarded multi-disciplinary National Engineering Consultancy are looking to appoint a Civil 3D specialist for their Edinburgh practice. \n\nAn excellent package, working environment, and career paths are on offer. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System\n\nProvide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others\n\nWork in both supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and within agreed budgets\n\nReport to appropriate team leader on technical issues associated with project work\n\nWork in close collaboration with team members and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role\n\nProduction of CAD and 3D modelling in conjunction with Project Technicians\n\nQuality Control for CAD and 3D modelling production\n\nOutputs to company CAD standards as well as comply with project and BIM protocols;\n\nCreation of federated 3D models to enhance coordination, collaboration, construction sequencing and innovative processes for Asset tagging. Understanding of clash detections with the aim of reducing conflicts during the construction phase\n\nUndertaking other tasks as delegated by Project Engineers/Managers\n\nTo adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy\nQualifications:\n\nHND or HNC in Civil Engineering\n\nEngTech membership of an appropriate professional body (desirable) i.e Institution of Civil Engineers or the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation\nExperience:\n\nExcellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D required\n\nSignificant previous experience of the preparation of highway design drawings including geometric design, drainage and all ancillary elements\n\nExcellent communication skills, particularly in technical written English\n\nFlexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure\n\nConfidence and ability to take responsibility for work on large projects\nIf you would like a confidential chat about this role please contact Marie on (phone number removed) quoting J45045\n\n#LI-MS1\n\nLegal Information:\n\nWe act as an employment agency for permanent work and as an employment business for temporary work.\n\nFor roles in the UK, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.\n\nWe value diversity and promote equality.
