A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional SEN Department Leader to join the permanent staff team at one of its outstanding schools in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional to make a lasting impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the SEN department, ensuring the highest standards of support and inclusive education.
* Develop and implement effective strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure tailored learning plans are in place.
* Provide guidance and professional development to colleagues on best practices in SEN teaching.
* Oversee the assessment, monitoring, and progress tracking of SEN students.
* Ensure compliance with national SEN policies and school-wide inclusion strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record in SEN education.
* Extensive experience working with children with a range of special educational needs.
* Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and support a dedicated team.
* A deep understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and current educational policies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage parents, students, and professionals effectively.
* A passion for inclusion and a commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
