The Role
Are you ready to take charge and make a real impact? We’re seeking a dynamic Business Area Manager to lead and oversee multiple on-site accounts, ensuring exceptional operational delivery, maximising revenue streams, and maintaining tight cost control. In this pivotal role, you’ll have full responsibility and accountability for the relevant P&Ls, driving performance and profitability
You will manage and develop Account Managers to ensure day-to-day service delivery is of the highest standard, in full compliance with Environmental Support Services policies and procedure

Overview
* Responsibility and accountability for Regional P&L’s;
* Attend structured operational meetings with clients to discuss service delivery.
* Build relationships with clients to promote a partnership approach to the management of operations and production on site;
* Understand the specifics of client sites and equipment, on site processes, site rules and health and safety;
* Delivery on contractual KPI’s;
* Management and development of Account Managers to ensure delivery of the day to day service ensuring that contractual KPI’s are achieved;
* Ensure that all internal systems are utilised to their potential. This will include utilisation of Quadzu, Worksite and clocking in machines;
* Ensure that all Environmental Support Services policies and procedures are adhered to at all times;
* Delivery of the technical aspects of the service. This will involve a real focus on the upskilling of Account Managers and Team Leaders;
* Develop and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and inductions as required;
* Delivery of agreed standard ways of working across all sub-regional sites;
* Focus on improving health and safety standards and reducing accident numbers at all locations;
* Support any accident & incident investigations
* The management of mobilisations of new contracts and service changes within the designated area. There may also be the need at times to support mobilisations in other areas;
* Drive continuous improvements across all sites and services to support clients in improving quality and productivity;
* Continual focus on improving working practices to support and promote best practice, production and health and safety
* Review daily, weekly and monthly reports to identify areas of concern / improvements / good practice;
* Regularly audit site compliance, operational and technical performance and conduct site walk rounds to review operational performance of sort line operatives, lead operatives and team leaders.
* Plan contingency support for annual leave, training and other times when Account Managers are out of the business.

Skills & Experience Required:
* At least 5 years management experience in the recruitment Industry and / or equivalent management experience gained in waste, recycling or production
* Experience of high-volume blue-collar recruitment.
* IOSH Managing Safely.
* ILM Level 3 (Leadership Course) or equivalent.
