Long term the below will be your duties:
* Champion, administer and review, in conjunction with other departmental managers, the COMAH regulations in order to maintain the Company's Upper Tier status.
* To be a key stakeholder of the associated COMAH disciplines, ATEX, MATTE, DSEAR, SIL, HAZOP,PHR,LOPA, SIL, Human Factors and MAH
* Be a member of the Site Incident Controller Emergency Team
* Coordinate the Company's Integrated Management Systems with regard to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager to comply with relevant statutory obligations and internationally recognised standards.
* Manage and monitor all environmental aspects of site in accordance to COMAH, EPR and ISO 14001
* Key stakeholder in incident, accident and near miss investigations
* Manage waste disposal / recycling activities on site.
* Be the nominated Company DGSA advisor
Requirements
• Degree level qualification in chemistry or closely related scientific discipline is preferable, not essential
• Health & Safety Qualification IOSH min - NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma preferred
• A working knowledge and experience of quality management systems, standards, procedures and internal auditing.
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
