Job Title:Buyer Employment Type:Permanent Reporting to:Supply Chain Manager Department: Planning and Supply Chain Location:RLC (UK) Limited Global Point site Job Purpose: Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer is responsible to support the Planning & Supply Chain department in achieving our business objectives, and to deliver best in class supply chain management, with a focus on providing procurement delivery for the business. Main Duties & Responsibilities include: Responsible foron time placing of correct orders, supplier performance, make cost-effective purchases and ensure inventory is maintained at the approved/required level for effective company operation, resolve purchase order discrepancies, validate supplier delivery plan, track order fulfilment. Accountable for on-time updating and maintaining procurement data and record accurately in the ERP system regarding the suppliers, prices, supplier standard lead-time and order details (e.g. dates, suppliers, quantities, supplier committed delivery dates and quantity). Responsible in tracking order status, manage supplier delivery priorities and ensure timely delivery. Follow up with suppliers on any quality, invoice or price enquiries. Assist with invoicing queries, price corrections and updates. Responsible to proactively update the internal key stakeholders with timely accurate status on orders and delivery status, supplier delivery plan, supplier performance or any issues or challenges at the suppliers or enquiries. Responsible in maintaining strong working relationships with external supplier and internal cross functional teams. Engaging especially the rest of the Planning and Supply Chain team and Ops, to fully understand customer demand and RLC production plans, fully cascading the projected demand to supply base and working with the suppliers to review its capacity and lines of balance (LOB) to support the demand. Responsible in maintaining routing LOB reviews with the suppliers, including suppliers KPIs. Assist supplier business and performance review. Manage Return to Vendor parts ensuring these are sent back to suppliers in good time and credits are received. Accountable for the delivery of appointed projects or initiatives. Conduct or support review, discussions and meetings in a timely, professional and informed manner. Ensure on time submission of the assigned reports and requested info or data. Must comply with RLC registered policies & procedures, government regulations and industrial standards, especially those related to Planning & Supply Chain. Assist the Supply Chain Manager in the implementation of governance, control and processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department, assist to ensure they are kept up to date and registered in QMS. Responsible for completing Customs declarations of Brexit related shipments GB to NI on the HMRC Trader Support Scheme (TSS). Assist in other areas or perform other duties as assigned to support the business needs. 1. Qualifications and Experience Essential Degree qualified or relevant professional certification or substantial relevant experience. Minimum 6 years hands-on experience with a proven track record in E2E procurement, stock management, supplier and supply chain management in a manufacturing environment. Must have a proven track records and experience in driving & measuring suppliers to meet KPI targets. Must have good working knowledge and hands on experience in using ERP systems. Desirable MCIPS qualified or equivalent. Either from an aerospace or automotive environment. 2. Knowledge & Skills Essential Excellent knowledge of procure to pay process & supply chain management within manufacturing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent numerical reasoning & analytical skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite. Desirable Able to work to Six-Sigma & lean manufacturing methodology. Awareness of Aerospace and sustainable procurement standards & regulations. 3.
