About the role
Permanent, Full Time - Term Time, 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
* Be part of the Safeguarding team and ensure safeguarding is at the heart of all decisions
* Support pupils and their families in school, community and home settings and provide regular ongoing assistance to support inclusion
* Provide a friendly, approachable and confidential point of contact for families
* Provide support for staff (including the head of school) in the school, particularly when dealing with challenging or vulnerable pupils and families
* Co-ordinate and complete EHAs in school for families within and connected to our school
* Co-ordinate school support for families within school and liaise with other agencies to offer support for them
* Follow schools’ policy on safeguarding and attend safeguarding meetings as required.

Who we are looking for
* Relevant family work or pastoral support experience
* A professional qualification relevant to the post such as social work, teaching, youth work or other relevant qualification
* GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
* Driver’s License, business insurance and access to a vehicle
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to maintain an organised and professional working environment
* Significant experience of direct work with children and families
* Experience of working with families who are subject to child protection processes
* Experience working in conjunction with other agencies and professionals and a good knowledge of agencies available to work with families
