Senior Supplier Quality Manager | THG Nutrition This role is based at THG HQ, Manchester. We are an office based business and our teams are based on site 5-days a week. These are the values that drive us through every day. About the Role: This position will manage the SQA team and their associated portfolios. The focus will be on establishing appropriate policies, procedures and standards as well as developing the SQA strategy to measure and improve supplier performance. Working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders, this role will implement and manage THG’S Supplier Quality program, ensuring the suppliers are working to correct policies from the outset. They will identify and mitigate risks to quality throughout the whole product lifecycle from ingredient supply through to to production manufacturing and scale up and through to the end customer/consumer. This individual will have a high bar for quality, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a very dynamic environment. They will also possess a proven ability to influence and steer diverse cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up style, and the capacity to invent and simplify on different business oriented ways of operating. Key job responsibilities: Owning product quality from a customer perspective from agreed concept to launch. Develop quality assurance programs, ensuring supplier awareness and compliance to THG policies. Creating, maintaining and monitoring quality processes that allow manufacturers to meet our requirements. Working with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between business, quality and food safety requirements. Developing feasible actions plan to address quality issues and supplier improvement. Traveling as needed to meet with suppliers and service providers Leading the SQA Global team, ensuring all infrastructure, resource and development needs are agreed and planned Developing working relationships with key stakeholder function – Procurement, NPD and Manufacturing Development of audit process and tools to ensure supplier compliance to internal and external (Regulatory) standards and requirements Establish, manage and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers and customer feedback. Requirements To be considered for this role you will need to have the following qualifications / skills: You will have a proven track record in quality systems management You will be degree qualified or equivalent within a science related discipline or experience within a Technical function Experience managing 3rd party/internal audits and technical visits. You will have excellent management and communication skills with the ability to develop your team to reach their potential. Previous experience in identifying and driving quality and continuous improvement objectives will enable you to make a real contribution to the site.
