Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment, and delivering great experiences for our customers is a top priority. FOAA is seeking a Financial Analyst -II to support our accounting team.
The responsibilities include month-end closing activities, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis. This position will support the Management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures, and policies. It will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within the department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to innovate processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
2. 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
3. 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
4. 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
5. 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
6. Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
7. Six Sigma Black Belt
8. Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
9. Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
2. MBA or CPA
3. Knowledge of Tableau
4. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
