Ward 39 has the exciting opportunity to employ a dynamic and enthusiastic B6 Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, who is passionate about nursing and dedicated to improving patient care.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to play a key role in our top-tier team who has a patient-centred approach providing care with a personal touch. To become one of our dynamic team you must demonstrate a particular passion for elderly, surgical and rehabilitative care.
Ward 39 is the Fractured Neck and Femur ward providing pre/post-surgical care for elderly patients. Our patients have surgical interventions under the orthopaedic team and then recover under the care of the geriatric team who provide the ward with constant support, alongside our ward physiotherapists and occupational therapists to provide assessments and rehabilitation and a plan for discharge.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the specialism of fractured NOF and elderly medicine, as well as gain experience in caring for patients who have acute medical illnesses. You will be working within a friendly and well-established multi-disciplinary team that is proud of the high standards of care we provide to all our patients. Experienced staff nurses from non-acute backgrounds are welcome to apply.
The role of the successful candidate will be to consistently drive excellent clinical quality standards to this vulnerable patient group, by providing visible clinical leadership to the team and support them in the delivery of high quality, effective and evidence-based care.
It is our duty to keep patients in our care safe so falls and pressure ulcer prevention is high on our agenda, as too is our wish to develop our focus on dementia care. Patient experience, patient safety and providing assurance that standards are met for every patient, every time is fundamental.
If you are passionate about making a difference and would like to develop your skills in this role, as well as enhancing your leadership experience please contact Ward Manager Andrew Richardson-Forster for further information.
