Job Title: Accounts Assistant Location: DE12 Salary: £26,000 We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established company based in DE12. This is an excellent opportunity for a numerate and detail-oriented individual to support the finance team with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Role Overview: Reporting to the Finance & Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for data input, raising sales ledger invoices, purchase ledger processing, and general finance department administration. Key Responsibilities: Handling incoming and outgoing post efficiently. Printing and distributing emailed invoices for authorisation. Inputting purchase ledger invoices. Raising and distributing sales ledger invoices on a weekly basis. Sending supplier remittances and customer statements. Managing incoming phone calls and directing to the appropriate person. Reconciling purchase ledger statements, sales ledger receipt allocations, and sales ledger credits. Reviewing the T&A system weekly for missing scans or anomalies. Creating payroll spreadsheets from the T&A system. Providing administrative support for payroll. Recording holidays on both paper-based and Timeware T&A systems. General administration and filing duties. Skills & Experience Required: Strong numeracy skills. Proficiency in IT systems. Accuracy and attention to detail. AAT qualification or prior accounts experience (preferred). Good communication skills and a proactive approach.
