ROLE PURPOSE
As a Nail and Beauty Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and teaching the curriculum, ensuring work is marked, records are kept, and assessments are ongoing. You will help ensure all learners are prepared for assessments while maintaining a high level of successful pass rates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create effective schemes of work that support the learning process of individuals.
2. Prepare and develop innovative lesson plans, designing and delivering group activities.
3. Diagnose learners' literacy, numeracy, and ICT needs using various diagnostic testing and mock tests.
4. Deliver training to individuals and groups following the programme curriculum, setting objectives and targets for achievement.
5. Provide one-to-one support to learners where necessary.
6. Hold a manageable caseload of learners.
7. Provide appropriate encouragement, guidance, and support to help learners progress.
8. Manage any behaviour issues that arise.
9. Prepare and submit up-to-date assessments of learners across all relevant activities.
10. Monitor and maintain appropriate paperwork and records of progress, reporting all cases of learner sickness and absence.
11. Complete review paperwork and record learners' progress.
12. Follow the education inspection framework.
13. Undertake regular CPD and record it using company documents.
14. Undertake qualifications where suitable as part of your own learning and development.
15. Take proactive approaches to ensure Safeguarding and Prevent are embedded into delivery and ensure issues are raised in line with the organisation's Safeguarding Policy.
16. Prepare for and attend monthly caseload review meetings with your line manager.
17. Prepare for and attend standardisation meetings as instructed by Quality Assurance.
18. Manage administration tasks related to the organisation's CRM and ePortfolio systems, including session planning, logging results, and providing feedback to learners.
19. Work alongside the Quality team to ensure delivery meets high expectations.
20. Ensure any complaints are raised in line with the organisation's Complaints Policy.
21. Liaise with relevant team members to ensure learners achieve their targets and progress into appropriate outcomes.
22. Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with external organisations involved with the service and learners.
23. Attend monthly team meetings with line manager to discuss feedback.
24. Follow all company policies and procedures.
25. Be familiar with and research updates to qualification specifications and handbooks for subjects quality assured.
26. Participate in OFSTED inspections as required.
27. Be very familiar with key company policies.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
1. Qualified to DTLLS/Cert Ed/PGCE (or equivalent) - Desirable.
2. Qualified to PTLLS/CTLLS (or equivalent).
3. GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths at grade 4/C or above.
4. Hold a Level 3 or above in Beauty Therapy.
