Are you passionate about data-driven insights? Would you like to earn an additional qualification while you work? Then we have the right opportunity for you.
As a Graduate Data Scientist Apprentice, you will be working towards a Level 7 (MSc equivalent) qualification. Your learning journey will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become a fully-fledged data scientist by the time you’re finished. You will also be working within one of the biggest employers in the North East; our employees and the community were we operate are at the heart of what we do.
You will have the opportunity to manage data from end to end. You will start by querying our databases so you will have/be willing to learn and be proficient in SQL; you will then use R/python to build models and create business insights. Once you have a story you will end your analysis by conveying it to the business in a suitable format, perhaps using Excel, R Shiny or Power BI.
You will help to shape the management and development of key administrative processes and you will have a shared responsibility for working with our partners for the development, design, production and distribution of relevant system data. You will help to maintain, analyse, develop & introduce improvements to the Financial Advice Management Information (MI) suite to support the growth of Newcastle Financial Advisers.
With the support of your manager and mentor, you will have objectives to work towards to make sure you are developing during your time with us. We go beyond the traditional apprenticeship route to offer you the opportunity to help you learn and experience things beyond your role that will support your career development through a team challenge project with our Early Talent community.
