Job Title: Lead PMO Manager Location : Nottingham Contract : Perm Recruiter: Noaman Hussain About the role We're looking for a Lead PMO Manager to join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) who are part of the IT Planning and Governance function within International Technology & Advanced Analytics (IT2A). We're responsible for setting the standards and governing the portfolio of projects delivered within IT2A. Your responsibilities You will lead a team of on-shore and off-shore colleagues to…. Maintain and improve the IT2A delivery framework and processes that support it. Decide the appropriate delivery route for each project to follow, and lead governance forums to ensure projects are being managed effectively and in line with the delivery framework. Develop and implement monitoring and reporting to measure the success of project delivery, and to provide lead indicators of issues that may arise in future. Lead on the development of dashboards to provide visibility of the state of the portfolio of projects. Lead initiatives to improve the transparency and visibility of the portfolio of projects – highlighting concerns and focusing senior management time where it is most required. Define and lead initiatives to lead best practice and increase capabilities across the Project Management community. For example, risk & issue management, planning and estimation, Lead the IT2A portfolio management tool, KeyedIn, including the creation of projects and resources. Develop and implement a roadmap of improvements to the tool. Ensure that KeyedIn remains a single source of truth of the IT portfolio, taking steps to ensure the accuracy of the data maintained within it. Contribute to new and improved processes and ways of working to ensure the services provided by the Portfolio Management Office are effective and value-adding to the organisation. What you’ll need to have These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role. Experience of delivering one or more central PMO services to multiple delivery teams, or of managing the end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects. Experience of IT project delivery frameworks and processes Demonstrable stakeholder management skills and the confidence in presenting to large, senior audiences. Expert data analysis, problem solving and interpretation skills, including proficiency with MS Excel. Excellent numerical skills, understanding of basic accounting principles and experience managing and governing budgets Experience leading multi-national teams, with mixed employment types It would be great if you also have These are desirable skills or experience and are not essential, so we would welcome applications from candidates that don’t match this additional criteria.
