The role – Design and Development / Projects Engineering Manager
You will have a challenging, variable and highly rewarding role leading, developing and managing a professional and high performing team of Research / Design and Development Engineers. With responsibility for ensuring the R & D team provide an outstanding service provision to all internal and external stakeholders, you will have a broad range of core duties and responsibilities including:
* Daily operational management and control for companywide Research and Development
* Recruitment, mentoring and development of a highly skilled Design Engineering team
* Ensure product development / R & D meets all company, client and regulatory / industry standards
* Liaison with all internal and external stakeholder groups in relation to Product design and development
* Oversee and manage projects from initial concept through all development stages to completion and support scale-up into manufacture
Degree, ideally MSc, qualified, you will have an in-depth background and experience managing all elements of companywide design and development and R & D Projects. A natural leader, you will have managed and developed teams of Design professionals to ensure all R & D projects meet company and client requirements on time and to budget. You will have excellent customer-facing experience providing sound advice at all stages of product development and manufacture. Previous experience utilising SolidWorks and FEA design is essential, a background within Oilfield Tool development would be a distinct advantage.
