As an NEC Site Supervisor you will be joining a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. They provide engineering consultancy services on a range of infrastructure projects; particularly in the water, highways, energy and rail sectors. Due to recent contract awards, and the growth of their rail team, they are seeking to appoint an NEC Site Supervisor for a major Rail project in Belfast.
Please note some night works will be required with this position.
As the NEC Site Supervisor your new role will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Undertake the role as NEC Supervisor as defined in the NEC Contract.
2. Ensure works are carried out in line with the quality defined by the Scope.
3. Attend when required all relevant project, design and client meetings.
4. Attend Contractor induction training.
5. Ensure accuracy of as-builts for the Client hand back file.
6. Produce weekly monitoring and progress reports, ensuring accurate information on works inspected, independent quality checks, confirmation testing undertaken by the Contractor, materials used and photographic record.
7. Identify and issue defects against the contract.
8. Compile a defect register to collate the quantity, type of defect, date defect raised, and date defect closed. Register is to be kept live and up to date for the duration of the works.
9. Propose corrective actions from defects highlighted.
10. Ensuring safe systems of work, work package plans, construction phase plans are in place.
11. Ensuring H&S processes are adhered to.
12. Accident and incident reporting.
To be considered for this role you will have:
13. Minimum of a Degree in an Engineering/Construction related discipline, i.e. Civil Engineering.
14. Experience of supervising construction or engineering related activities with a Contractor, Consultant or Client organisation.
15. Experience of working on similar Rail/P-Way projects.
16. Experience as an NEC Supervisor/NEC Site Supervisor certification.
17. Relevant up to date site training, including PTS (Personal Track Safety) and CSR.
18. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
