Job Description Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Master Scheduler to join the Planning and Scheduling department, reporting into the Director of Planning and Governance. As a Master Scheduler, you are responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive schedule that integrates all activities required to successfully execute operations taking into account capacity, resources, supply risk/shortages and cost implications. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget and work closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for all supply forecasting activities and to provide the agreed business plan for the next 3-36 months to all functions. This role is the long-term supply integration point to the Planning Manager, Demand Planner, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Commercial and Project/program management functions of the business, they will lead the dialogue each month to agree the 36m business plan and align with the Planning Manager to enable successful execution of the supply plan. Key Responsibilities: Talent management and development, including hiring, retention, performance feedback, mentoring, career and development planning. Be an ambassador for Ultras ASPIRE values Ensure team compliance with all Health and Safety Policies and active participation in maintaining high standards towards a safe working environment Accountable for all aspects of planning strategically in operations. Conduct rough cut capacity and scenario planning to validate and present data and analytics to support decision making. Lead and execute the supply planning process for PCS, ensuring alignment to the business strategy. Accountable for creation, maintenance, and overall reporting performance of Master Schedules Provide an effective, efficient supply plan for each bid while considering existing bids. Input into delivering the operations financial forecast. Oversee customer order and project demand contract review activities. Responsible for smooth transitions of NPI into production ensuring minimal schedule and cost disruption. Accountable for initial entry and responsibility for maintenance of planning related IFS ERP settings. Responsibility for PMRP/MRP and CRP outside the execution window. Ensure effective and achievable lead/lag measures and objectives are established. Provide accurate reporting of manufacturing against our bid models or expected costs. Actively manage the planning/scheduling risk register alongside the Planning Manager. Establish clear standards and approach specific to scheduling. Support external or internal auditing to demonstrate our compliance to process and working practices. Support and where appropriate lead investigations into determining the root cause of delays. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Essential: Computer literate and experienced in using ERP functions, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint office tools Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Working knowledge of S&OP and the demand planning process. Experienced and effective communicator at all levels, experience engaging and presenting to senior level professionals. Clear understanding of business functions, responsibilities and opportunities. Desirable: Licenses/Certificates: Oliver Wight S&OP Training or equivalent APICS or other planning Certification preferred Experience of IFS ERP system Ability to influence and support key business stakeholders Ability to challenge current embedded culture and ways of working Understanding the commercial drivers of business and how they impact the P&L Data driven with the ability to analyse and resolve problems.
