Our client who is in the construction sector who provide materials and services as required is looking to grow the accounts and finance team due to growth in the business. Working in a modern office environment, this role is ideal for a candidate who is keen to work for a business that invests in their staff and will offer future progression to Management Accounts level in the future.
You will enjoy responsibility as you will support the overall day-to-day running of the Accounts & Finance department ensuring a seamless operation is executed.
Day to day duties include…
Accounts Payable
Setting up new suppliers.
Posting supplier invoices
Posting and reconciliation of staff expenses
Generate supplier payments as required
Reconciliation of supplier statements to creditors
Cash posting and allocation
Bank reconciliation
Balance sheet reconciliation
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Posting accruals and prepayment journals
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive best practices and process efficiencies
Promote and drive strong relationships with all departments
Accounts Receivable
Setting up new customer accounts
Credit control duties i.e. chasing customer payments
Qualifications Skills & Experience
AAT qualified, a stopped studier or equivalent
Experience in an accounts and finance function previously
Strong attention to detail
