Copello are looking for an experienced Nuclear Integration Engineer, to join a dynamic team within the Defence sector who are delivering on current gen and next-gen programmes.
Location - This role can be based out of either West Midlands or Cumbria on a hybrid basis, typically 3 days per week.
Salary - c£60,000 plus overtime and package.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and evaluate design documentation to assess plant design changes.
* Analyse plant build maturity to ensure readiness for subsequent build phases.
* Maintain the integrity of Reactor Plant design intent throughout the build and commissioning process.
* Develop and deliver reports addressing Reactor Plant issues and solutions.
* Drive programme delivery and resolve technical challenges through innovative engineering approaches.
* Act as the Intelligent Customer for Reactor Plant documentation and its associated safety case.
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Degree qualified in an Engineering or Physical Science discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent experience.
* Strong understanding of the nuclear industry and relevant regulations.
* Experience working across the engineering lifecycle, with a proven ability to manage work streams independently.
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills in a technical environment.
Desirable:
* Strong technical report writing and presentation capabilities.
* Experience in justifying design changes, preferably within a nuclear plant or related setting.
* Background in Civil Engineering, Defence, or Naval engineering projects.
