We are looking for an experienced individual with the skill set to support and develop the day-to-day operations within our Servicing department. The individual must be efficient, organised and motivated to work as part of an established team who provide bespoke elevator packages for all types of vertical transportation solutions to the construction industry as well as other end users.
We are looking for a qualified NVQ Level 4 Tester to join our Team covering the South Coast. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and optimisation of our equipment and systems, with safety and quality as top priority. You will be responsible for providing technical support to other Field Engineers across the business. You will also ensure that new lift installations within our construction portfolio are fully tested and compliant, support Installation teams in commissioning where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond promptly to equipment failures, providing effective problem-solving and repairs
2. Prioritise safety in all activities, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
3. Participate in service improvement initiatives and help establish best practices
4. Collaborate with teams, engineers and contractors to enhance performance within budget and operational constraints
5. Update maintenance procedures to optimise asset utilisation
6. Undertake routine maintenance activities in line with a structured programme
7. Plan, review and enhance preventative maintenance routines
8. Proactively monitor system and equipment conditions, carrying out repairs or raising work orders as necessary
9. Test and commission lifts to meet industry and UKCA standards.
10. Support installation teams by resolving on-site technical issues.
About you:
* NVQ Level 4 in Testing and Commissioning or equivalent.
* A valid CSCS card.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Proven ability to communicate technical, complex, and sensitive information effectively.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
* Proficient in PLC interrogation and fault finding is desirable
* Demonstrable experience of Elevator Codes and Standards applicable to the Elevator and Escalator Industry
* Proficient in taking measurements and completing necessary documentation
* Record any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift / site
