Transport Manager
Salary: 45,000.00 per annum, with an annual performance bonus (17.5%) plus Car and Veolia benefits and pension
Hours: 40 hours Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00

What you'll be doing:
* Responsible for providing management and leadership.
* Support operational performance by ensuring the availability of legally compliant and safe vehicles, plant and depot in line with DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), HSE (Health and Safety Executive), EA (Environment Agency) requirements and company policy.
* Oversee all aspects of the transport department, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
* Manage and motivate a team and oversee a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles and equipment.
* Control repair costs and charges for the Corporate Fleet managed on behalf of the London Borough of Haringey, and maintain rigorous safety procedures through comprehensive training and assessment.
* Responsible for reducing vehicle environmental impact using available technology, route/vehicle economy & staff training.
* Look after the setting, implementing, supporting and managing the Fleet/Transport budgets.
* Collate reports on fleet performance, e.g. accidents, fuel consumption, defect reporting, Tachographs and Vehicle utilisation.
* Manage and maintain drivers walk around checks and defect reporting systems.
* Maintain driver's hours and driving licence systems and procedures, to ensure Legislation and company policy are adhered to.
* Train driving and operational staff on vehicle-related safety matters, new policies, toolbox talks, and inductions.
* Generate ad-hoc management reports regarding transport and fleet-related topics for senior management as requested. Ensure currency to all matters and changes in Transport Law and O Licence undertakings are maintained.
* Ensure DCPC compliance is adhered to for all relevant drivers. Manage the fuel systems on site, including monitoring the stock and fuel ordering.

* Transport Management CPC
* Waste management experience - desirable
* Multi-faceted stakeholder relationship management, including clients, contractors, and members.
* IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
* HGV - desirable
