As a highly skilled Project Director – Buildings & Infrastructure for the Taymouth Castle development you will be experienced in working on full construction projects life cycle comprising of high-profile mixed-use developments including new builds, commercial and bespoke residential, renovation and infrastructure projects.
The Project Director assumes full responsibility and manages a multi-disciplinary project team, working alongside peers whilst collaborating with various stakeholders to manage overall construction effort to ensure projects are delivered to an exceptional standard.

Responsible for managing and overseeing multiple projects in our fast-paced large portfolio of complexed and high value projects from the pre-contract stage through to the completion of the project. Building relationships that manage and influence senior stake holders. Overseeing and coordinating with external consultants, including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants.
You will develop, oversee project delivery programmes, ensuring key milestones dates are achieved and delivered to the standards associated with a DLC Club. Ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance. Managing and deploying a small project team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on a day-to-day basis, alongside key stakeholders and multi skilled design teams ensuring delivery of project timelines and budgets without hindering quality.
Taking full ownership of design procurement and delivery and effectively managing workloads of multi-skilled teams, collaborating with counterparts to drive projects forward. Preparing concise weekly and monthly project reports including programme planned vs actual and budget for allocated projects. Provide regular progress reports to Director Development and Construction.
Developing strategies for project delivery across the portfolio. Assuming full responsibility for the overall quality excellence across all projects. Ensuring Health & Safety best practice and compliance at all stages of pre-construction, construction, and installation.
Developing, implementing, and improving operating policies, processes, and procedures for projects. Manage design and construction procurement processes and identifying and assessing potential project associated risks, developing mitigation strategies as necessary or proactively resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Performance evaluation, training, and development of the team through leadership and leading regular site visits to review progress and ensure quality delivery of the infrastructure and utilities works. Flexibility will be required with a project of this nature and other duties may be required.

A bachelor’s degree in construction management or another related field.
Professional Chartered affiliations MCIOB or MRICS or equivalent and holding a valid CSCS card.
Proven experience in managing high-value projects, within the luxury hospitality and residential and heritage sectors. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
Experienced as a Senior Project Manager, Project Director or in a similar managerial role in delivering project management, project development management or project construction management of both buildings and infrastructure projects, particularly in mixed-use real estate and hospitality, residential and listed building renovations, or equivalent.
Ability to manage full project cycle and manage multiple projects simultaneously while operating at a high level with big picture thinking. Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities to streamline project delivery and mitigate risks. Excellent communication and negotiating skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
Ability to lead, mentor and inspire a team of Project Managers whilst effectively collaborating with various departments and stakeholders with the ability to confidently challenge contractors and consultants as and when required to implement projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and people skills.
Commercial acumen, Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines through out-of-the box solution orientated thinking but prepared to dive into the detail and “roll-up your sleeves” as and when required.
You have an organized and structured approach with good technical and computer skills. Sound working knowledge and application of Scottish building and planning regulations.
A high standard of personal presentation and diligence with exemplary time management. Excellent communication, influencing and people skills with a natural ability to build rapport and strong relationships with high profile clients and stakeholders.
