Who we are looking for:
We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice to undertake a L3 Business Admin qualification whist working in the post of a School Support Assistant at Haybridge High School and Sixth Form. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our very successful school.
The successful candidate will be on a fixed term contract to undertake the Level 3 Apprenticeship over a period of 21 months, working 37 hours per week. term time only (38 weeks) plus the 5 school training days.
Included in the normal working hours will be 3 hours per week to complete the apprenticeship qualification via our training provider LMP Education.
The post holder will be part of the ‘school support’ team and main duties will include:
- Working alongside the administration team to provide administrative support across the school departments as and when required, directed by the Office Manager and/or senior members of staff.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Maintaining and update records and databases, including our library records
- Providing a welcoming and efficient reception service to the school’s main reception area.
- Be the first point of contact for all visitors, answering their routine enquiries or directing them to other departments/individuals as appropriate.
- Supervising students in our Resource Centre who are undertaking assessments as needed.
You will have:
Our successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- GCSE grades A-C / 4 – 9 in English and Mathematics
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A professional and positive attitude.
- An enthusiasm for challenge, development and innovation
- Ability to work well in a busy environment involving interactions with a range of staff, students, parents and visitors
