Our client, a leading partner consulting firm specialising in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, is seeking a Principal Adaptive Planning Consultant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead Adaptive Planning implementations, advise clients on best practices, and drive transformative financial planning solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients.
As a key leader within the consulting team, you will be responsible for overseeing client engagements, managing project teams, and providing strategic guidance on Adaptive Planning solutions. Your expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting—combined with strong stakeholder management skills—will ensure the successful deployment of solutions that drive business value for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead full-cycle Adaptive Planning implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
* Provide strategic guidance to clients on financial planning best practices, optimisation strategies, and system efficiencies.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and aligning Adaptive Planning solutions to their needs.
* Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations while ensuring high-quality implementations.
* Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of Adaptive Planning solutions.
* Conduct client training sessions and provide post-implementation support as needed.
* Stay updated on industry trends, product enhancements, and best practices to continuously refine consulting methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), enterprise performance management (EPM), or a related consulting role.
* Expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly Adaptive Insights), with multiple end-to-end implementations successfully delivered.
* Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting best practices.
* Prior or current experience in a consulting environment, with a proven track record of managing multiple client engagements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and senior finance leaders.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
* Workday Adaptive Planning certification is preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
