Job Title: Therapy Assistant
Location: Hemel Hempstead, HP2
Wage/Salary: £18.20 Gross per Hour
Driver Essential? Yes, with own car

Days & Hours: Working days to be mutually agreed with the client’s parents depending on the therapy appointment schedule. Shifts are typically 4 hours long during school hours, 2 or 3 times per week. This is a zero hour/bank contract.
Overview of Role: Georgie requires a Therapy Assistant to provide 1:1 support during her therapy appointments, which will include driving Georgie to and from her medical and therapy appointments at hospital, community clinics, and school. The Therapy Assistant will implement therapy advice and plans as instructed both at home and in the community, working in collaboration with her parents, case management team, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. As Georgie struggles with fatigue, her Therapy Assistant will help her to recognize the signs before she ‘crashes’, which in turn will reduce the joint and muscle pain she experiences. Georgie wants to keep up with her peers, is very active, and loves to play and have fun; these are all areas where subtle support is required. This role is all about facilitating Georgie, promoting her independence, and supporting her overall development.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience supporting children/teens with SEN.
2. Experience of supporting children/young people with SEN or additional needs.
3. Behavioural, sensory processing, and sensory seeking experience is highly desirable.
4. Excellent communication skills, reliability, and proactivity.
