Location: Remote, based in UK or Germany, with regular travel to Stockholm
Overview:
An early-stage venture capital firm specializing in biotech, food technology, and climate innovation is looking to add an investment professional at the associate, manager, or principal level. This role offers the chance to work closely with pioneering startups that are addressing some of the most pressing global challenges.
As a small, hands-on team managing an 15M+ fund, the firm provides an opportunity to be directly involved in investment decisions, portfolio support, and overall strategy development. While fixed salaries may not match those of larger funds, the role offers flexibility in work-life balance, participation in the carry pool, and the opportunity to invest in high-impact sectors.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in early-stage biotech, food systems, and climate-related startups.
* Conduct market research, due diligence, and financial analysis to support investment decisions.
* Work closely with founders, providing strategic and operational support.
* Contribute to portfolio management, business development, and investor relations.
* Represent the firm at industry events, staying engaged with market trends and key stakeholders.
Who should apply:
* Experience in early-stage venture capital, preferably with a focus on biotech, food, or climate-related investments.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess high-risk, high-reward opportunities.
* Comfortable working remotely, with the flexibility to travel to Stockholm regularly, particularly in the early stages.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in working in a small, mission-driven team.
* Passion for deep tech and science-driven innovation, with a strong network in the startup ecosystem.
This role is an opportunity to be part of a specialized, impact-focused fund, working closely with groundbreaking startups and contributing to the transformation of key industries. If this aligns with your experience and interests, we would love to hear from you.
