Role Overview As our new Food & Beverage Director, you’ll craft and execute Silverstone’s long-term multi-faceted food and beverage strategy. This role plays a key part within our Director Leadership Team, working in collaboration to drive Silverstone’s growth and strategic vision. As the Food & Beverage Director, you will be accountable for the entire F&B proposition across Silverstone Circuit and the “more than motorsport” initiatives, including leadership of the commercial and operational requirements, ensuring the highest possible standards of quality, customer satisfaction and commercial return. This will be pivotal in advancing Silverstone’s reputation as a premier leisure and business destination. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead on all matters relating to catering at Silverstone which is inclusive of the following areas: • Concessions and Public catering • Hospitality & VIP • Conference and Banqueting • Retail catering • Escapade You will transform food and beverage as we know it, putting Silverstone on the map as an industry leader; renowned for our innovative and sustainable food and beverage offering. Key Responsibilities: • Your Strategy: Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and fellow Directors to translate the Silverstone vision into a long-term multi-year strategy. • The Financials: Without compromising quality or exceptional customer experience, ensure that income and profitability is maximised with cost efficiency and revenue growth strategies. • Daily Operations: Ensure the smooth operations of all F&B functions, 365 days a year, overseeing planning, mobilisation, execution, demobilisation activities across events and daily operations. • Your Leadership: Lead your team and leverage their experience and expertise within your strategy. Enhance your leadership style by championing our values, empowering managers and fostering collaboration. • Our Events: Oversee the project management of the major events to ensure timelines and deliverables are met by internal and external catering providers and any risks are mitigated and dependencies identified and managed. • Our Facilities : Lead and manage investment in the facilities to preserve Silverstone’s long-term brand value and enhance further revenue streams. • Key Relationships: Form lasting partnerships and establish new relationships that benefit the growth and development of your strategy. Skills, Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will be an inspirational strategic leader with a passion for trendsetting culinary experiences. They will have experience in fast paced and dynamic environments. The ideal candidate must also possess financial acumen. Alongside the above, we're looking for the following: • Experience: Experience in a senior leadership role that consists of leading multi-layered F&B operations in large venues and/or at large international events with multi-location teams. • Skills: Creative and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to transform ideas into operational reality. Excellent communicator who is highly skilled in contract management and commercial negotiation. • Personal Attributes: Resilient and positive through change – unphased as timescales bend to business need. Flexible and adaptable through organisational growth. • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related degree (or equivalent).
