An exciting opportunity to join our industry-leading client in the FMCG sector, known for producing and distributing top-quality products nationwide. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be an integral part of the team, covering all aspects of mechanical equipment maintenance within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery within a fast-paced production setting.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, prioritizing breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to production.
3. Operate a variety of workshop tools and equipment, including welding and fabrication tools.
4. Resolve equipment faults with limited spares, working independently to meet tight production deadlines.
5. Collaborate with a diverse team to continuously improve the reliability and maintenance of the site.
Requirements:
1. Engineering experience within a manufacturing or equipment manufacturing environment, with experience in food production being a bonus.
2. Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to fabricate, weld, and operate workshop equipment.
3. Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain strong attention to detail, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
4. Solid experience in mechanical fault finding and maintenance, particularly with food processing machinery, pneumatics, refrigeration, steam boilers, and production lines.
5. PPM system experience (e.g., Shires, Access Control) is desirable.

1. A proactive problem-solver who can handle tight production schedules and unexpected breakdowns.
2. Possess both electrical and mechanical skills, with a bias toward mechanical expertise.
3. Experienced with various machinery and systems in a manufacturing environment.
