This role is to support a pupil with a disability on a one-to-one basis, to enable them to access the full remit of the National Curriculum within the classroom setting, alongside their peers. This position is offered initially on a one-year fixed term basis but with the potential for it to be extended for another year, to work with this pupil as they move through our school. This exciting role will suit you if you have an interest in working with children, in either a mainstream or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) environment and are committed to raising the achievement of all children within a highly inclusive setting. Experience is not wholly necessary for this role as a caring, supportive and ‘can do’ attitude is what this pupil is looking for to help them during their time at school. This role will include helping the pupil to carry out activities and tasks planned within our exciting curriculum. You will also be supporting the pupil’s social and emotional development in implementing a personalised programme providing pastoral care, guidance and supervision.
