We are now looking to hire a Garment Control Operations Assistant to provide essential services in cleanroom garment control in laundry operations for all fab workers.
What you will do
As a Garment Control Operations Assistant, you will work primarily in the cleanroom environment within the sites operational support group. Each week over 2000 garments are used by employees in the production cleanroom area. You will form part of a team responsible in managing the day to day requirements of garments that over 600 employees will wear or change multiple times a day.
This position involves working as part of a team and alone on a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 12 hour shifts with a shift base salary of £23,485 and shift allowance of 38% with total salary of £32,409
Your duties will include:
1. Overseeing the laundering of used garments on-site
2. Ordering chemicals and materials as required for the laundry equipment
3. Operating the Washer and Drying equipment
4. Packing and sealing the garments ready for use
5. Ensuring the required electrostatic discharge and particulate standards are met (training supplied)
6. Collection and delivery of the garments to the Fab areas
7. Sewing labels and completing light repairs to garments (Machine work)
8. Completing monthly stock checks of cleanroom garments
9. Assist with new starter & visitor garment preparations
10. Delivering and topping up cleanroom change areas daily
11. Basic administration
What you will need
Essential skills:
12. Experience as a machinist or seamstress or ability to use a sewing machine for minor repairs
13. Ability to work – a 4-day on 4-day off 12-hour shift pattern rotating over 7 days
14. Ability to wear a cleanroom suit whilst inside the cleanroom area
15. Self-motivation and drive
16. An organised and methodical work ethic
17. (Due to the nature of the role) applicants need to be physically fit, as the position involves walking or standing for extended periods
