The Role
Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking for a Transport & Logistics Manager to lead in the day-to-day logistical needs of the company. Responsibilities will include:
1. Liaising closely with other internal departments
2. Leading in the effective scheduling of fleet requirements for outgoing projects
3. Utilising the in-house CRM to manage scheduling of logistics
4. Monitoring the day-to-day running of the department - daily dispatch and returns process
5. Managing the maintenance of the company's fleet
6. Ensuring compliance with required vehicle and driver documentation
7. Managing the Transport & Logistics team
8. Developing processes and systems to streamline logistical service delivery
9. Working commercially to develop cost-saving solutions
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from a similar role within an event-based business, running the transport and logistical requirements of an event supplier; however, candidates with non-events industry experience may also be considered. Most importantly, individuals must have strong planning and resourcing abilities, team management, and the ability to think strategically to ensure the effective running of a busy department.
