We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Buyer / Supply Chain Manufacturing Procurement Officer who has experience using MRP systems, is aware of continuous improvement methodologies and has knowledge and experience of Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial Processes.
Working as a Production Buyer / Supply Chain Manufacturing Procurement Officer you will report into the Head of Purchasing to supply purchased parts and service requirements on time and in full, without compromise to safety, cost, quality and environment to all production facilities in line with MRP requirements and other ordering methods used within the business.
As the Production Buyer / Supply Chain Manufacturing Procurement Officer you will ideally have experience working within a manufacturing environment and have good stakeholder management skills.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Production Buyer / Supply Chain Manufacturing Procurement Officer include:
1. Place, manage and expedite orders from multiple demand signals
2. Adherence to MRP movements via daily exception report
3. Maintain supplier purchasing contract data integrity within the Chess/MRP system
4. Measure supplier delivery performance via past due orders and shortages
5. Collation and reporting of key performance indicator data
6. Update & control of visual KPI’s
7. Support continuous improvement projects
8. Ensure master data accuracy
9. Execute and complete tactical sourcing activities
10. Input and support category strategies
11. Execution of category management supplier contracts
12. Support supplier periodic performance reviews
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience in MRP systems
2. Awareness of continuous improvement methodologies
3. CIPS or equivalent qualification, or working to, desirable
4. Knowledge and experience of Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial Processes
5. Performance and data driven with good analytic skills
6. Computer literate in prime Microsoft applications
7. Systems knowledge / use of ERP
8. A great attitude to continuous improvement
9. The ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
10. Strong team player
