We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Technical Commercial to advise our commercial teams with technical support for internal and external customers. T his is a national role therefore flexibility will be offered within relation to base location for the successful candidate. Main Responsibilities As the successful Senior Manager - Technical Commercial, you will report to the Commercial Director, working cross functionally within the Cement & Packed Products business, and be responsible for delivering consistent product quality, maintaining quality management systems whilst ensuring product research & development is in line with the latest industry developments. You will be required to take a leading involvement in British and European standardisation activities and represent the business at CRH quality and technical forums, with the role holding management responsibility for the National Laboratory function. On a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Senior Manager - Technical Commercial will include (not exhaustive): Providing technical advice/guidance to the senior leadership team as required, alongside monthly updates of product quality performance Working directly with customers for the resolution of complaints Ensuring that technical data (certificates, declarations, customer reports, datasheets, brochures, etc) are valid, up to date, and reviewed regularly Ensuring that customer requirements are reflected in the manufacturing specifications of the operating sites Collaborating with various teams, ensuring product quality is in-line with customer expectations and requirements, providing technical advice/guidance where required Ensuring ongoing product compliance to relevant standards and specifications Ensuring ongoing accreditation of the companys quality management systems Influencing the development of both UK and European standards, regulations, and industry guidance to benefit the business, through participation in BSI and CEN activities Work alongside the industrial and commercials teams with respect to product development, ensuring that it is in-line with standards, regulation, and customer expectations Coordinating routine, customer related, product development, and research & development workloads at the National Laboratory The Ideal Candidate The ideal Senior Manager - Technical Commercial will demonstrate a good understanding of cement production processes and hold at least 5 years experience in a mid-management technical/quality role within construction, with a good all-round knowledge of the sector. You will be self-motivated, inclusive and collaborative, whilst working well under pressure adhering to specified deadlines, with proven people management skills.
