Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced sexual health nurse to work within the integrated Sexual Health Service in South Staffordshire. The role involves being exposed to sensitive and confidential information it is imperative to ensure that this is dealt with in line with organisational policies and information governance. We are looking for candidates who have the necessary skills and experience to provide sexual health and contraception services to patients in our clinics. Evidence of experience and additional post registration qualifications and/or competences in the speciality must be demonstrated. Most importantly we are looking for someone with a passion for contraception and sexual health, a ‘can do’ attitude, an ability to work independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team. Main Duties Of The Job Include Leading and undertaking nurse‑led clinics working alongside colleagues, to ensure continuity of service provision. Receiving patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and making an assessment of their health care needs, based on highly developed nursing knowledge and skills. Planning and coordinating the healthcare needs of patients in the service, including the requirement for regular/routine physical examinations and investigations. Ordering necessary investigations, and providing treatment and care both individually, as part of a team, and through liaison with / referral to other agencies.
