Welfare Support Assistant – 28.5 hpw

£25,183 pa pro rata
We are looking for a team player who is highly organised and self-motivated with a professional manner and the effective communication skills to work in the Council’s Welfare Support Team.
The Welfare Support Service provides free independent advice and support and represents residents across the Borough. We work with those who have debt or benefit issues, including help with appeals and tribunals. We also deliver Local Welfare Provision helping vulnerable residents across the Borough.
You will be the first point of contact for the Welfare Support Service. As part of the team, you will provide a customer focused front line service to residents, giving assistance with referrals, co-ordinating appointments for advice and providing general administrative and clerical support to the Service.
You will be experienced in administration, enthusiastic, professional and confident, able to use your initiative and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You will be experienced working in a busy office environment and driven to provide support to the service.
This role offers the chance to be part of a service which helps customers who are most in need.
