Job Title: Conveyancing Paralegal

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Conveyancing Paralegal to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 law firm in Leeds Central. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to take the next step in their career by managing a busy caseload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Caseload Management Support:
* Assist in managing a varied caseload, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages.
* Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and completion statements.
* Prepare files for exchange and completion, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
* Conduct legal research and gather necessary documentation to support transactions.
Client and Third-Party Liaison:
* Maintain effective communication with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
* Handle routine client inquiries, providing updates on transaction progress and responding to any issues that arise.
* Ensure all parties are kept informed of key developments and timelines throughout the process.
File and Compliance Management:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and firm standards.
* Conduct due diligence, including the review of title deeds, searches, and mortgage offers.
* Assist in identifying and resolving any potential issues or risks associated with transactions.
Administrative and Technical Support:
* Provide administrative support to senior team members, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and managing correspondence.
* Utilise conveyancing software and systems to manage tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion of transactions.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
Skills & Experience:
* Significant experience working in residential conveyancing, with a solid understanding of the full conveyancing process.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and support a caseload in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
* Excellent communication and client management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Experience using case management systems and other relevant software.
