Dietitian (Temporary Agency Contract-Service Care Solutions)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join a multidisciplinary care team in Birmingham, providing critical nutritional support to individuals with eating disorders. The dietitian will offer expertise in creating and managing personalized meal plans, working closely with medical staff, therapists, families, and the patients themselves to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement personalized meal plans for individuals with eating disorders.
2. Monitor nutritional intake and adjust plans as needed to support treatment goals.
3. Collaborate closely with medical staff, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic treatment approach .
4. Assess patients' nutritional needs, including those requiring oral, passive eating, or nasogastric (NG) feeds .
5. Track and manage NG feed plans, and assist in transitioning patients from NG feeding to oral diets, providing emotional support to reduce anxieties.
6. Work with young people, including those with autism and emotional regulation challenges, to tailor care and ease their transition through the recovery process.
Requirements:
7. Experience working with individuals with eating disorders, autism, and emotional regulation challenges.
8. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
9. Strong understanding of NG feeding and nutritional assessments.
