The post consists of 10 programmed activities (PAs) which are split between Cambridge and Colchester. The applicant will also take a proportional role in the 1:12 COTW rota on the childrens ward and the 1:8 (currently) cover on the neonatal unit if appropriate. The successful applicant will undertake an amount of on call in Colchester, on a proportional basis, around 50% of the full time 1:12 ratio. Outpatient clinics and other commitments are cancelled when COTW. Morning duties will be cancelled when on duty in the evening. The consultant will arrive at work at 1300 hours and take over on call duties following handover at 1630.
