We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from to, Mon to Fri.
The role:
1. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
2. To provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
3. To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPIs
4. To manage sub-contractors as necessary working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
5. To undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
6. Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call
The person:
7. Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable
8. Previous supervisory and mentoring experience essential
9. Experience in building services maintenance is essential
10. Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT Literate
11. Excellent customer service and communication skills
12. Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
13. Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
14. Experience in a Healthcare environment an advantage
15. Must have a good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage
