There's lots happening at the Mackenzie District Council, and it's a great time to join Team Mack. We have an awesome permanent, part-time (25 hours per week) HR/H&S Coordinator opportunity! Join Team Mack and be based in our Fairlie Office! You'll need to hit the ground running, get stuck in and own the work in front of you right off the bat.
Reporting to the General Manager, People, Customer and Cultural Relationships, this role will be involved in three key areas - Recruitment, Human Resources, and Health and Safety coordination and administration.
At a high level, the activities/tasks will include the following:
* Assisting with recruitment processes, including drafting and placing adverts, coordinating and shortlisting candidates for interview and arranging interviews
* Generalist HR and H&S administrative support - drafting employment-related documents, onboarding of new employees, developing and maintaining organisational charts, filing, conducting exit interviews, assisting with the maintenance of the online H&S system, H&S documentation including policies, processes and guidelines
* Coordination of the HR and H&S induction/onboarding for new Team Mack members
* Maintenance of databases and employee information
* Documenting and mapping various Human Resources and H&S related processes and procedures
We are looking for a self-starter who is motivated, enthusiastic, approachable, very detail-oriented, and able to learn new tasks quickly. Most importantly, however, the ability to demonstrate resilience while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial for this role.
