Procurement Manager - Medical Industry

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to work with a major international brand within the medical devices industry. A highly respected company with a great range of award-winning products, looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Head Office based team as Procurement Manager.

The Role:
* The Procurement Manager will be based from the Head Office near Maidenhead, and will be joining a well established business.
* You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, the products and services, along with contract negotiations throughout the process.
* It's vital that cost-effective procurement strategies and policies are in place, for singular purchased and continually required items such as raw materials, goods, and services.
* This role covers both direct and in-direct procurement, and will cover both local suppliers and some international.
* In the role, you will ensure sustainability, manage risks, and report to senior management as required.
* You will also ensure ethical, legal and regulatory compliance is adhered to at all times.
* It's vital that you manage and motivate the procurement staff, encouraging a positive workplace environment, while collaborating with colleagues across the business.
* Full initial company and system training will be provided, with ongoing career development and progression.
The Ideal Person:
* It's vital that you have at least 3 years experience in a Procurement or Purchasing Manager position, or Procurement / Purchasing Team Leader level if within a suitable sized business.
* Applicants must have experience of working within a regulated or controlled industry or sector, not necessarily medical or healthcare, but something with added controls and measures that are added to the normal for any business of this size.
* A suitable degree in Purchasing Management, Procurement and Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management etc would be highly beneficial
* You will need proven experience of overseeing a range of procurement, contract negotiation and cost savings you've implemented.
* It's vital that you have experience managing the process with a range of suppliers that come from a sometimes broad range of sectors, and from a small business to multi-nationals.
* Experience with SAP and SalesForce area ideal, and you must have a high level of IT literacy and able to use all Microsoft Office packages to a high level, including Teams.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential across all level.
* Experience working with a technology based organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.
* You must live a commutable distance to the Head Office near Windsor / Maidenhead.
* Right to work in the UK is required – no sponsorship available (sorry)
* A driving licence is desirable but is not essential.

* Basic salary up to £55k
