Position Summary:
Fall 2025 – EDUC 212: Language Development
Mondays 6:15 pm – 8:15 pm
A 3 credit course that is an introductory course designed to familiarize the students with the theories of language development, the complexities of language acquisition, the socio-cultural influences on language development, disabilities that can cause delays or interference in the development of language, language-learning principles, assessment of language, strategies for language enhancement and the critical role language development plays in the acquisition of literacy. The application of theory will be heavily emphasized as it relates to instruction for teaching children with typical and atypical language development.
Responsibilities:
Prepare lesson plans, quizzes, tests; teach course material, provide feedback and grades throughout the semester.
Qualifications:
Professional expertise. Relevant graduate degree required. Teaching experience preferred. Candidate should have a commitment to excellence in teaching in a Christian Liberal Arts setting.
