My client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a premium house building background to oversee multiple high-end residential developments across West, East and South Yorkshire. The role will involve managing 5-6 sites at a time, each with varying numbers of units, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality are maintained throughout the build process. As Contracts Manager, you will be the driving force behind the smooth delivery of these developments, managing both the operational and commercial aspects, whilst maintaining a commitment to excellence in house building. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects of 100 units and will play a key role in ensuring that the company continues to win NHBC awards and maintain a reputation for delivering outstanding premium homes. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the delivery of 5-6 sites simultaneously, across West, South & East Yorkshire, ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead and motivate site teams to deliver premium residential developments with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety. Be the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and the swift resolution of any issues. Manage site schedules, ensuring projects progress according to plan and any delays or risks are managed proactively. Enforce strict quality control across all sites, ensuring that homes meet the client’s exacting standards and that NHBC standards are consistently achieved. Maintain the highest health and safety standards, ensuring all sites comply with relevant regulations and that a safe working environment is upheld at all times. Ensure financial control across multiple projects, including managing budgets, overseeing procurement, and managing subcontractors and suppliers. Monitor and track performance, implementing improvements where necessary to ensure the ongoing success of each site. Lead the drive for award-winning builds, aiming to continually improve and maintain a strong track record of NHBC success. Provide regular progress updates to senior management, reporting on both operational and financial performance of all sites. What They’re Looking For Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in premium house building, with a strong understanding of high-quality residential developments. A track record of managing sites with 100 units, ensuring quality is consistently delivered. A passion for premium house building, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to craftsmanship. Strong knowledge of NHBC standards and a desire to maintain award-winning builds. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage multiple teams across multiple sites. In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations, and experience managing safety on-site. Commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and senior management. A relevant construction qualification (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) would be beneficial. The ability to work across West, South & East Yorkshire, managing sites in these regions.
