As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a senior clinical role within a well-performing, dynamic and compassionate community perinatal team. This is a Maternity Leave fixed term opportunity until Jan 2026. LSCFT, recently rated as Good by the CQC, is investing in Clinical Leadership and Advanced Clinical Practitioner in the Perinatal CMHT as part of the ambition to provide excellent, advanced Clinical Care to Mums and families in the Perinatal Period.
Main duties of the job
Providing advanced clinical expertise, judgement and care planning as part of an excellent Multi-disciplinary team, the role holder will have the opportunity to work autonomously to provide the best standard in care provision. Promoting recovery-based care programmes and setting high standards for the delivery of care to service users and their families, the role holder will be responsible for delivering high-quality perinatal services.

Education
Essential criteria
* MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
* First degree in Registered Health profession
* Registered Practitioner
* Evidence of professional updating and development in the delivery of service to people with mental illness.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* In-depth knowledge of a range of approaches to perinatal mental health assessment and of psychosocial interventions
* Confident in the delivery of care to service user group
* Skilled in delivering evidence-based practice for patients who self-harm or attempt suicide
Experience
Essential criteria
* Substantial post qualification experience
* Significant experience of risk assessment and management and its application in practice.
* Detailed understanding of relevant legislation e.g. Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act and its application to an Acute Hospital setting.
