Description Suffolk Family Carers - Claydon, Suffolk IP6 0AJ £24,604 pro rata (£12,302 per annum actual) 18.5 hours per week Maternity cover until 31 December 2025. Hybrid working Reference: 0901 About the role One of our goals is to enable Young Carers (YC) and Young Adult Carers (YAC) to overcome some of the challenges they may face in a creative and solution focused way. This may involve working to a whole family approach and utilising community assets to support and improve wellbeing and reduce agreed identified needs. Working as a team member within our Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Service as a Young Carer/Young Adult Carer Worker, you will have the opportunity to assess and support identified carers, working alongside them to develop life skills which support positive future outcomes. As part of this role you will: need to travel independently have a flexible approach to working hours to meet service needs be working with carers ( aged 4-11 years) and their families deliver needs led one to one interventions support the wider service in supporting at respite activities for carers aged 5-24 years. About you Are you an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has the motivation and interpersonal skills to make a difference to the lives of Young Carers aged 4-11 years? Someone with the confidence to work using their own initiative, as well as being a motivated member of our team? Do you have: communication skills to build rapport with stakeholders organisational skills to manage and maintain an evolving caseload flexibility to support at respite and wellbeing opportunities across the county motivation to work with children and young people to support their aspirations.
